Summer Dining 2024 - Please read all information before submitting the application. Once your student account is charged* there are no refunds.
Dining in the summer is not automatic and is not tied to housing. You must apply for summer dining, the application will open on April 5, 2024. If you do not apply for dining a meal plan will not be created for you. If you decide not to fillout a summer dining application, you will still be able to use middletown cash or credit in the summer dining venue. Summer dining application deadline is May 10, 2024. Unlike the housing application, dining is NOT a rolling application.
Summer dining details:
- Summer Dining 2024 begins on 5/28/24 and runs through 8/20/2024. Fall meal plans begin on 8/21/24
- Remaining points and/or swipes from your spring plan DO NOT roll into the summer plan
- There are two plans available for the summer:
- 150 meal swipes which will run from 5/28 - 8/20. There are no guest meals and no points on this plan, only one swipe per meal period; this plan is intended for those who will remain on campus for the majority of the summer.
- 50 meal swipe plan which will run from 5/28 - 6/30. There are no guest meals and no points on this plan, only one swipe per meal period; this plan is intended for those who will remain on campus for summer session I.
- For students who will be on campus for less than 25 days post Reunion/Commencement to finish projects and/or await travel it is not recommended to purchase a meal plan as it would not be cost effective. Instead, students should put the amount they would have spent on the meal plan in to Middletown cash and purchase meals in Usdan Marketplace on an as needed basis. Utilizing Middletown Cash will give you access to a discounted meal rate.
- *All students who indicate they would like to purchase a summer meal plan will have their application reviewed by Financial Aid. If it is determined that you are eligible for a fee waiver, you will automatically be set up on the meal plan that most closely aligns with your approved dates on campus.
- If you are not approved for a fee waiver you will be contacted directly to determine if you would like to purchase a plan or cancel your application. The cost for the 150 plan is $1500 billed to your student account; the cost for the 50 plan is $500 billed to your student account.
- All summer dining decisions will be finalized no later than 5/24/24. NO EXCEPTIONS
June Dining: daily from 11am - 1pm and 5pm-7pm located in Summerfields
July and August Dining: daily from 11am - 1pm and 5pm - 7pm, located in Usdan Marketplace
No other campus venues are open in the summer.
